Event Description:
The third annual Community Leadership Boy Scout Breakfast is an integral part of the Heart of America Council’s community outreach and fundraising campaign that raises $2,400,000 annually to support quality youth development programs that teach leadership skills and timeless values. By investing in the Boy Scouts of America, we are able to ensure that more than 32,000 metro youth, including more than 3,100 youth in western Johnson County, receive a life-changing program. This year's honoree is Olathe Health Systems' President and CEO, Frank H. Devocelle. Mr. Devocelle joined the Olathe Health System, Inc. in 1971 and became the President/Chief Executive Officer in 1975. Frank has seen the organization grow to total employees of approximately 2,550 while gross revenues grew from $3.2 million to approximately $950 million. Frank oversees various heath system corporations including Olathe Medical Center, Inc., Miami County Medical Center, Inc., and Olathe Heath Physicians, Inc., a large physician corporation (37 clinics). Frank and his wife, Molly, live in Olathe. In addition, their four daughters and 10 grandchildren also live in Olathe.
