Event Description: In writing "The Things They Carried", Tim O’Brien drew from his own experiences to tell the story of American soldiers in Vietnam. In this Greater Kansas City young writer’s workshop, participants in grades 6th - 12th will reflect on their own stories and share their experiences in poem, memoir or short story format.
