Event Description: Join us to celebrate the book signing of “Homeless, not Invisible,” a photography documentary by local artist, Sharon Rodriguez. Sharon Rodriguez has spent the last two years interviewing and photographing the homeless community in Johnson County, Kansas, an affluent suburb of Kansas City. The book features 15 of the individuals she encountered, showcasing their portraits and stories. All photos are presented in black and white with their corresponding stories written in Rodriguez’ own hand. The book invites the reader to truly see and experience the life of a homeless individual and is full of surprises, heartbreak and survival. The book signing will be held at Olathe Indian Creek Library 13511 S Mur-Len Road, Ste. 129. Olathe, KS 66062. Rodrgiuez’ enlarged photographs will be displayed and available for purchase, as well. Event is from 6 pm to 8 pm. It is a free even. Books will be on sale for $25. Plan to come and bring a friend!
