PuroClean of Olathe invites local community members to attend ‘3 Cans and a Good Time’ a happy hour event focused on collecting food donations for New Hope Food Pantry a local food bank in Olathe that serves the local community. In partnership with A.Arnold Moving Company and Team Real Estate powered by eXp the event will feature lite bites, free drinks, door prizes, and a karaoke after-party. Admission is free to attend ‘3 Cans and a Good Time’ but donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated.

There has been an increase in need at the local New Hope Food Pantry which served over 7500 families in 2022. This will serve as the third event to raise awareness and help local families. With the first event having collected 480 pounds of food and the second collecting 800 pounds the goal for the third event is to raise 1000 pounds.

Introduction to Welding introduces the student to the most common welding processes used today. The student will learn about how to work safely using welding equipment and materials, how to use tools of the trade and practice basic welding techniques. This is a fast-paced, hands-on course. You will learn to apply mediation principles to situations involving divorcing parents who are in dispute over their children, disputes pertaining to access to their children or co-parenting matters. Course material includes a review of mediation principles, application to divorce situations, child development, conflict theory, ethics, Kansas laws, resource development, and networking. Participate in several role-play activities to practice your skill development.

Prerequisite: Principles of Core Mediation.

Upon completion of this course and a Domestic Practicum you can apply with the state of Kansas to be an approved domestic mediator.

During this class, you will learn about common mental illnesses, pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatments, and the consequences of untreated mental illness.

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has been featured in a CNN report in 2012 and on CBS’ “This Morning” in 2013. The Orchestra has been invited by the British Broadcasting Corporation to play live on air for BBC Radio 3 (the classical music channel), as well as for BBC Radio 1 (the rock, Electronic Dance Music and youth music channel) and live on other BBC channels many times. They have taken part in The Electric Proms (in a collaboration with The Kaiser Chiefs), and the BBC Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London (The Proms), where they were the fastest selling late-night prom in history, selling many thousands of tickets for the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. Original compositions and songs by the Orchestra have been used on television, in film and in radio plays, as well as in performances by other musicians. The orchestra has collaborated with the British Film Institute in providing music for silent films and musically with Madness, Robbie Williams, Ant & Dec, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Stefan Raab, Rainer Hersch and a full symphony orchestra performing at the Royal Festival Hall in London. George Harrison was a well-known fan who established contact and played with the orchestra.
