Drew Foster is the Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer at WaterOne, where he oversees infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert on artificial intelligence. Prior to WaterOne, Drew was the IT Architect for KVC Health Systems and, before that, the IT Director for SEK Mental Health Center. His experience spans enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and the practical application of AI. He has spent significant time researching and evaluating AI technologies, developing prompting best practices, introducing AI tools within engineering teams, and advising on AI governance and policy considerations.

Celebrate “Hasta Luego Monarchs” at the Pollinator Prairie

The 12^th annual “Hasta Luego Monarchs” celebration takes place from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, September 26^th at the Pollinator Prairie, 320 South Blake Street, Olathe.

Hosted by the K-State Extension Master Naturalists of Johnson County in conjunction with Monarch Watch, this free, family-oriented event features exhibits such as milkweed, native plants, rain barrels, composting, supporting pollinators, monarch tagging demonstrations, games and more! New this year, DarkSky Missouri will feature “Effects of Nighttime Light Pollution and Bats.”

The Pollinator Prairie includes an ADA-compliant walkway along native pollinator gardens bursting with variety. Visitors are encouraged to check out the new plant labels that indicate suitable plants for home gardens and containers.
