MDHAC will be hosting the 4th Biennial Boots & BBQ Un-Gala as a virtual event in November! This virtual event will feature entertainment and auction online. Our entertainers are Roy Lotz with Lotz of BBQ (Austin, TX) where he'll share his tips about his experiences with cooking and serving BBQ and Jeanne Ewald, long-time former MDHAC Board Member, will share history about the Hyer Boots factory (a well-known cowboy boot-maker company that had hired several deaf employees during its heyday in Olathe, KS). Many well-known actors/actresses bought cowboy boots from Hyer Boots company! FREE registration for FRIENDS OF MDHAC - will automatically receive an email from MDHAC with registration link (if you're not a Friends of MDHAC, join for $60 - Become Friends). $10 registration for non-members. Last year we raised over $6000 to give to your favorite School Heroes. This year we’ve raised over $12,000! (If you know local business owner let us know asap to join in!) Each winner will receive an award,gift cards and goodies, as well as being entered to win a drawing for other prizes at a banquet such as a retreat to Chateau Avalon, massages and literacy night show for the school of their choice.
